RefTagger Updates and Other Stuff

Greetings and blessings! This is an update to let you know what's going on at Trailblazin Ministries. First things first, we announced a few months ago that we had added Logos' RefTagger script to our website to create hyperlinks to Biblegateway.com; well, there have been quite a few updates since its inception. The thing that's most noticeable is that there is now a pop-up that displays the linked verse. For example, you can hover your mouse over 1 John 1:9 and you should see the verse pop-up and styled all pretty with the site's colors. The other major change is that now all of the links are being directed to the brand new Bible.Logos.com which is an online Bible put together by Logos. This will keep everything all nice & pretty. We may also be adding a utility soon that will allow you to select your default Bible translation and if you want links to display to open your Libronix Digital Library.

In other news, we just recently put up a review of Evangel's debut solo album Expository Journey written by my man George Sly. He's also currently working on a review of Lecrae's newest album Rebel, which should be done within the next week or two. There are quite a few other reviews in the pipeline so be on the lookout for those.

I'm just about done writing the final lesson for the "Read.Pray.Worship.Live." series, and that will be online in the next few weeks. I'm still toying around with possibly making a study guide and other materials to go with it, and even possibly having it put into a book via a print on demand publisher. Keep that in prayer if you would. Also be sure to check out the current UrbanWordz podcast series where I'm putting up the audio versions of the series, which I had the opportunity to teach at my home church over the course of two months. It's currently being updated every other Monday (with a new one just put up this morning).

In blogging news, I'm currently working on my Top 10 list of holy hip-hop albums for 2008. I'm actually getting a little fancy with things this year; I have a system I'm using to rate the albums, instead of just using my best judgment to rank them by my preferences. Right now the list of albums is 20 deep with a few more slated to be added (i.e. shai Linne's Storiez and B.Morr's Closer to name a couple). I look forward to sharing that with you all in early December.

Now that I think about it, I may consider doing another holiday giveaway this year, so keep your eyes peeled for that, if it happens.
