Holy Hip-Hop Devotion Contest

ATLANTA, April 2, 2008 - Calling all disciples and Christians that enjoy sharing the faith! National Gospel Rap Artist, FLAME, and Trailblazin Ministries have partnered to welcome listeners, fans, believers, and the like to submit a devotional aimed to serve as a ministerial tool. In addition, up to three submissions will have the opportunity to display their original work on FLAME’s Ministry page www.flame314.com and www.trailblazinministries.com.

“After having built with FLAME, Trailblazin Ministries is excited about the opportunity to partner together with FLAME Ministries for this contest,” says LaRosa Johnson, Founder of Trailblazin Ministries. “We anticipate seeing many individuals participating who share the same ideals as both of our ministries by both knowing the Word of God and having a heart for the urban culture.”

From the devotions, resources and tools on FLAME314.COM and TRAILBLAZINMINISTRIES.COM and the music available on MYSPACE.COM/FLAME314 - dig in, prepare a devotional and submit it for consideration. “It is our hope that everyone has gained valuable information as it relates to them and their Christian walk so that they, too, can be involved in discipleship,” says FLAME.

Born and raised in the inner city streets of St. Louis, the death of his best friend - his grandmother - would change his life. FLAME b.k.a. Marcus Williams-Gray quickly ran to Christ at the age of 16 and never turned back. Ministering for more than 10 years at churches, events and conferences, the Dove Award nominee is currently completing his degree in Biblical Counseling at Boyce College located in Louisville. FLAME recently released the sequel and counterpart to OUR WORLD FALLEN on March 4th aptly titled OUR WORLD REDEEMED, which landed in the #1 position on CMTA’s R&B/Hip Hop Chart and the #5 position on Billboard’s Top Gospel Chart.

• Narrowing down the topics for discussion, prepare original material on the issues of how our world is fallen and/or how our world is redeemed
• Feel free to use FLAME’s albums OUR WORLD FALLEN and OUR WORLD REDEEMED as a reference, but it is not required. HOWEVER, your written piece MUST have the foundation of the Holy Bible – you must reference at least one scripture from the Holy text. Any submissions containing anything less will NOT be read.
• In addition to having your devotional posted, you will receive an autographed OUR WORLD Series gift pack

ADVICE

Be sure that your written piece is:

• ...engaging and relatable to a demographic audience
• ...is not longer than 2 pages or more than 2000 words
• ...posted as a blog for others to read thus beginning your own devotional site

SUBMISSIONS

1. Submit your devotional as an attachment in a Word “.doc” file to ministry@flame314.com by April 30th
2. In the body of your email include, your NAME, CITY/STATE/ZIP, EMAIL, WEBSITE(S), MYSPACE PAGE and biography (your biography is not required)
