Busy-ness of Life

This is just a quick update from me to you. This is that time of year for everyone where the holidays are right around the corner (Thanksgiving and Christmas) and things either tend to speed up or slow down for people. Well, things are picking up for me, quite a bit and I just wanted to give you, the reader, a head's up.

I just recently finished two months of teaching Sunday nights at my church (Austin Bible Church), which partly explains the lack of devotions of late. With that, this past Sunday also kicked off the starting up of a new series of systematic theology courses (Anthropology & Hamartiology), as well as winding down my 1st year Greek class. With that, devotion updates may continue to be a bit lacking. I'm going to do my best to do them as often as possible and squeeze them into my schedule, but I won't sacrifice quality just to put something up; both you and our Lord deserve better than that. It is still my goal to finish this James devotion series by the end of the year, Lord willing. In the meantime, the UrbanWordz podcast will be updated every other Monday featuring the sermons I taught at church. I am also finishing up the final lesson of the "Read.Pray.Worship.Live." series, so that will be up on the website soon.

Continue to keep me in prayer as 2009 will be just as busy, if not busier than this year. I plan on picking up 2nd year Greek, along with 1st year Hebrew, on top of everything else I'm already doing. Also, just another heads up, once we have finished our James series, we'll likely dive into 1 Thessalonians (unless something changes between now & then), so get ready for that.

I love you all. Continue to walk strong in the faith. God bless!
