The life of Joseph was filled with triumphs and despair. His brothers were jealous of him. His father adored him. He went from slave to national hero. What a wonderful story he has. But, the best part is what God used him for.
No narrative in the Old Testament is complete without telling how God moved through the characters in it. So, this character study of Joseph focuses on him and how God used his gifts and abilities to accomplish His will. I pray that you do not get so lost in the story that you miss that point. Look for moments when even the main character, Joseph, gets redirected to where God wants him to be. In this survey of Genesis chapters 30, 37-50 I will not go line by line. Instead, I will basically hit important thought units and try to make this a fun read.
In this series I pray you will find the second half of Genesis to be as exciting and engaging as I did. I pray you see yourself in some of the story's moments and see how to be, but also how not to be. I pray God uses me to edify you as you read this 15 part series through the life of Joseph. In Him, Amen!
